Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted. And experience is often the most valuable thing you have to offer. ~ Professor Randy Pausch

My name is Anderson Banihirwe.

I am a computational scientist with strong interest in High Performance Computing (HPC).

Currently, I am a software engineer in Computational & Information Systems Lab (CISL) at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), where I am working on the pangeo project.

I graduated from University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering with a focus on Computer Systems.

I contribute to and maintain several libraries within Python’s numeric computing ecosystem, particularly around data mining and machine learning.

My long-term goal is to continue to learn and improve my skills and knowledge. In addition, I aspire to be part of an amazing team creating world changing products sharing my technical and collaborative skills while discovering how engineering and science are applied to problem-solving in our rapidly changing high-tech world.
